DURANT, Okla. (Sept. 1, 2023)- Hootie & the Blowfish frontman turned country solo artist Darius Rucker will be performing at Choctaw Casino & Resort – Durant on September 8 and September 9.

Rucker will take the stage at the two-time Academy of Country Music award-winning Grand Theater as he gears up for his first country music album release since 2017. Rucker’s new album, “Carolyn’s Boy,” will be released on October 6 and features 14 tracks.

In the lead-up to Rucker’s album release, he’s already put out the debut single “Fires Don’t Start Themselves” followed by “Have a Good Time.”

As a solo artist, Rucker has amassed four No. 1 albums on the Billboard Country charts, 10 No. 1 singles on country radio, and his cover of “Wagon Wheel” has gone platinum nine times. These accolades all followed a successful career with Hootie & the Blowfish, his GRAMMY award-winning band that’s sold more than 25 million albums worldwide.
