Choctaw Casinos & Resorts Honored as New Marketer of the Year by 3AF

Durant, Okla (June 11, 2024) – Choctaw Casinos & Resorts has been awarded the New Marketer of the Year Award by the Asian American Advertising Federation (3AF) at its annual 3AF Excellence Awards. The award was announced during a gala dinner on May 30 in Plano, Texas.
Held annually in May, Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, the 3AF Asian Market Summit and Excellence Awards celebrate the best works and industry leaders in Asian American advertising and marketing. Choctaw received the “New Marketer of the Year” Award, which recognizes a new marketer in the industry that has demonstrated an outstanding contribution to the growth of the AAPI advertising and marketing industry while raising public awareness of the importance of the AAPI community.

Since 2023, Choctaw has partnered with Intertrend Communications, the agency of record for the Asian American market. Leveraging cultural holidays such as the Moon Festival and Lunar New Year, Choctaw launched major programs to celebrate with the community through events, partnerships, interactive activations, and concerts. These strategic and integrated efforts have earned Choctaw the honor of being named New Marketer of the Year.
According to the U.S. Census, there were 614,000 Asian Americans in North Texas as of 2020. This demographic is the fastest-growing segment in Texas, with a 61% growth rate and the highest median income at $70,200. Recognizing the invaluable contribution of Asian American consumers, Choctaw will continue and deepen its efforts within the Asian American community to be positioned as the premier, all-in-one destination for North Texas and Oklahoma.
