POCOLA, Okla., (April 12, 2019) – Choctaw Casino & Resort – Pocola announces their monthly concert series for May entertainment at Gilley’s. Enjoy your favorite country and R&B artists as they perform free concerts throughout the month. Mark your calendars, Casey Donahew will perform live May 4. Other artists include Wade Bowen, Kentucky Headhunters, Tyler Rich and more. These free live music events will begin at 9 p.m. both Friday and Saturday.

Nick Swaim: Friday, May 3

Back by popular demand is Nick Swaim’s high energy and meaningful lyrics are what sets him apart from others in his genre. “Houston” is Swaim’s third single off his first album “Redneck Rocker” due out later this year. The hard-hitting ballad brings deeps country roots with a twist on southern rock that will be sure to have you singing along.

Casey Donahew: Saturday, May 4

In just over 10 years, Casey Donahew has topped the Texas charts time and time again racking up 12 No. 1 singles. He has released four albums and his 2011 release,  debuted at No. 2 on the iTunes Country Chart and No.10 on the Billboard Country Chart with three No.1 singles from the track including. “Double Wide Dream,” “Let’s Not Say Goodbye Again,” and “One Star Flag.”

Asphalt Cowboy: Friday, May 10, 17 and 24

Taking the stage three times this month will be Asphalt Cowboy. This high energy band specializes in covers that range from country to rock favorites. They also have several original tunes that will be performed as well. This five-man band will be sure to put on an unforgettable performance.

Kentucky Headhunters: Saturday, May 11

Country rock legends, Kentucky Headhunters, have been performing together for 50 years. They have released eight studio albums, three compilations and 23 singles. In addition, the band has won three Country Music Association awards, an Academy of Country music award and a Grammy Award for Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with vocal. Hit songs include “Dumas Walker,” “Honky Tonk Walkin” and “The Ballad of Davy Crockett.”

Wade Bowen: Saturday, May 18

Influenced by outlaw country, Wade Bowen released his first debut in 2002, “Try Not to Listen” and won over his fans by playing 250 gigs that year. “Live at the Blue Light” and “Lost Hotel” followed in 2006, then “If We Ever Make It Home” in 2008, peaking at number 29 on Billboard’s Country albums charts. Hit songs include, “Songs About Trucks” and “Who I Am.”

Tyler Rich: Saturday, May 25

Country singer, Tyler Rich released his self-released debut single, “Radio” in October 2014 which made a lasting impression on country radio stations. In August 2015 he released a four-song EP entitled “Valerie” and that same year the Country Music Social Media Awards named him “one to watch.” Hit songs include, “The Difference” and “11:11.”

Larry B’s Caravan of Stars Friday, May 31

Larry B and the Caravan of Stars have put together the best of the best for an unforgettable evening of music. The group features Larry Bedell, Lacey Thomas, Tom Ware, Grant Pierson, Rick Endel, Brandon Patterson, Jim Abell, and Larry Pearson. This is the group’s second performance and they are sure to please everyone in the crowd with a selection of songs that will have you on the floor or just relaxing and enjoying the show.

This month’s concert series at Gilley’s will be held every weekend throughout the month of May. The concerts are free to guests to listen to while enjoying a wide selection of beer or cocktails at the full-service bar. You must be 21 or older to attend.
