DURANT, Okla. (June 4, 2024)- Choctaw Casino & Resort – Durant is hosting the first-ever Latina women empowerment performance in Oklahoma featuring multiple big names.

Aida Cuevas, Lupita Infante, Majo Aguilar, Jacqie Rivera and Mariachi Los Reyes will all be performing inside the ACM-award winning Grand Theater on Friday, June 14 at 8 p.m. The star-studded lineup is excited to put on a female-centric show all about building each other up and encouraging women to step into their own voices.

Known as “the queen of ranchera music,” Aida Cuevas has amassed a huge following since she started performing at 11 years old in 1974. She’s toured across four continents, recorded 40 albums and sold 10 million copies. Cuevas’ work earned her a GRAMMY and a Latin GRAMMY, as well as the title “The Voice of Mexico.”

Lupita Infante is a Mexican American singer-songwriter who has risen to fame in recent years, earning a nomination at the 2020 Latin GRAMMYs and the 2022 GRAMMYs. Infante signed with Sony Music Latin in 2022 as her career grew. While Infante is gaining a following of her own, she is also recognized by many as the granddaughter Pedro Infante Cruz, a beloved Mexican singer and actor in the 20^th Century.

Majo Aguilar is a singer-songwriter known as part of the Aguilar dynasty. She’s the daughter of singer and actor Antonio Aguilar Jr. and the granddaughter of singers Antonio Aguilar and Flor Silvestre. Aguilar is signed with Universal Music Group, where she put out her debut album, “Mi Herencia, Mi Sangre” in 2021. Her debut single, “No voy a llorar,” reached No. 1 on the Billboard Mexico Popular Airplay chart.

Jacqie Rivera is an up-and-coming artist and the daughter of the late, legendary regional Mexican artist Jenni Rivera. Rivera pulls inspiration from her Mexican American roots into fusion music, which she will highlight on her upcoming debut album.

Mariachi Los Reyes is a band of 15 musicians who have taken Hollywood by storm. The mariachi band has appeared in several popular TV shows, including “New Girl,” “About a Boy” and “Gang Related.” Mariachi Los Reyes has also been in the movie “A Thousand Words” with Eddie Murphy.
